Bill Seitzler is President of Seitzler Strategies, LLC. For the last 16 years, Bill has used his expertise in research to provide clients an expertise in strategies across many different industries. Helping to develop and execute strategic plans, Bill provided counsel in management, promotion, branding, advertising, social/digital media and marketing.
Bill has an extensive track record for stellar media training for news providers as well as those being interviewed by news & trade organizations.
As a research strategist, Bill has a rich experience in using a multitude of unique quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to uncover consumer attitudes & preferences; using big data to create a clear road map to driving strategic transformation & growth for digital and broadcast media/content companies.
Before joining SmithGeiger in 2006, Bill worked 20 years at four different local television stations across the country. Before serving as news director for television stations KXAN – NBC Austin, KJRH – NBC Tulsa, WHEC – NBC Rochester, KAMC – ABC Lubbock, Bill was a television and radio sportscaster for 10 years. Highlights of his sportscaster career include the radio broadcast of the Texas Tech Lady Raiders national championship season 1992-93, voice of Texas Tech baseball in Southwest Conference Championship years of the early 90’s, host of the Spike Dykes TV show.
As news director, Bill led newsrooms that won multiple Emmy, Regional Murrow and Associated Press Awards for various newscast excellences.
Bill lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Lynette and their two daughters. And don’t forget the dog Dash!
